IRISH RED ALE: A beer for after cutting wood or just sitting by the fire. Pour into a large glass with generous head then watch it hold to the last sip. Coloured copper red with earthy malt flavours of dark caramel, chestnut and a touch of roasted barley. A spicy hop note dominates leaving a crisp refreshing bitter finish. ABV 3.6%
STOUT: Pouring a deep cherry red and developing a smooth latte like head this one presents with dark mystery. Created with six malts and oatmeal we achieve a rich complex malt profile and silky mouth feel. Just a touch of hops to mellow the roasted malt providing a gentle bitter finish. A complex Stout, bigger than the numbers would suggest. ABV 4.5%
BLOCKSPLITTER: Block Splitter: also known as a splitting maul, block buster or “godevil”. A heavy two handed axe used for cutting a large piece of wood along its grain. One side sledgehammer, the other a blunt axe. The Forrest Imperial Stout is one the Russians Tzars would have enjoyed over the long cold winter, no need to cut wood to keep warm with this one on hand. A sipping beer of robust dark malts, solid body & high alcohol. ABV 9%
